Black Jewelry Biography
Source(google.com.pk)Beth is a singer/songwriter living in Austin, Texas. She has designed and repurposed jewelry for herself, family, and friends since the early 1980’s. Beth Black Jewelry came about as a response to the many requests for the pieces worn by her during her shows.
She has always been drawn to fossils, crystals, and anything that sparkles and shines. Combining rocks in their natural state with faceted and polished stones is the hallmark of her collection. As nature dictates, most of her pieces are one of a kind – as distinctive as each person wearing them.
Jewelry can be a reflection of the wearer's personal aesthetic and unique spirit. Beth enjoys a statement without words being spoken. The visual expression and tactile impact of jewelry can be a sensual experience – and she is all about experiencing.
Jewelry has provided Beth with the opportunity to develop new relationships and meet people she may never otherwise have met. A bold adornment is a great conversation starter. So start a conversation. Enjoy your jewelry. Wear it with confidence. Wear it out loud!
ewelry has long been accepted as a personal expression of style and status. In ancient cultures, talismanic powers that offered a connection between the spirit and the personal world played a great role. Combining these influences with contemporary function and design makes this craft rewarding for me.
As a self-taught artisan, working from the studio in my home, I predominantly design in sterling silver and karat golds. I perform all aspects of the design and manufacturing process. The techniques used in my work include fabrication, lost wax casting, etching, rollerprinting, stamping, forming and forging. When incorporating stones and gems into my pieces I look for the rare and the unique.
My work is influenced by the shapes and forces of nature, and the play of light, texture, and movement imparted to the metal by the methods employed in its fabrication. Other inspirations include the myths and legends of ancient cultures, symbolism, primitive art and the spiritual.

Alice Black is an independent Japanese accessory brand specializing in punk-inspired silver jewelry. Alice Black jewelry is extremely popular in Tokyo’s eclectic street fashion scene, as illustrated by Hirari Ikeda’s appearance in last season’s campaign photos. We see people wearing the brand’s most iconic piece – a silver ring featuring a skull with anarchy symbol Mickey Mouse-like ears – regularly on the streets of Harajuku. With Spring/Summer 2013′s “The Meaning of Life” collection, Alice Black’s designer Norimi is debuting a number of larger pieces, including leather bracelets.
The theme of the Alice Black 2012 Spring/Summer collection is “The Meaning of Life”. According to the brand, this signifies “Creating things that you yourself like and remembering the unforgettable memories of youth.” Like earlier collections, 1970s punk culture is a major influence on the design of the new pieces.
In addition to the silver rings, earrings, and necklaces – featuring studs, spikes, skulls crosses & razor blades – that we have seen in previous years, “The Meaning of Life” features the first ever appearance of leather in an Alice Black collection. The hand-tooled leather bracelets incorporate silver hardware, including one piece with an anarchy symbol zipper pull. In addition to the leather bracelets, the items that really caught our eye are a massive silver cuff bracelet with a skull cutout and a super-chunky goat head silver ring.
Alice Black are known to some outside of Japan for its previous collaborations with Takeru from SuG’s fashion brand Million$Orchestra. Alice Black haven’t yet announced any new collaborations for this season, but Norimi assured us that he’s working on some exciting things to be announced in the near future.
